Christy Carlson Romano

Today Christy Carlson Romano is on a tight schedule. But, then again, with a brilliant career in acting, singing and writing— isn’t she always? Best known for her voice-over work on “Kim Possible”, her starring role on “Even Stevens,” a sold out run of “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway and, most recently, her book “Grace’s Turn,” the child actress is currently making the transition to the big leagues—and  if time management is any indication of success, she’s got it nailed. We met Christy at a coffee shop in West Hollywood where she gracefully completes the quickest interview in history. Fear not—this girl talks fast.

SM: So how did you get started?
Christy Carlson Romano: It all started in New York, which is kind of what my book is about. [Grace’s Turn] is semi-autobiographical and it’s about a girl named Grace and her experience on Broadway. She wants to get into acting and she has a stage fright that she just got over recently. Now she’s a junior in high school and she’s coming into her own body. She’s a great girl, she’s got these huge dreams and this great personality and a lot of talent. That’s sort of what I was a while back. But Grace has to struggle with the support of her family, while I was lucky enough to have a lot of support.
