SM: What has inspired you to be a warrior? To take action?
Gloria Allred: I would say it’s my life experiences as a woman and as a young woman; the experiences I had, that I suffered. Now I know as an older woman, as a lawyer, that a lot of what happened was not my fault; that I was a victim that I had a right not to be victimized, that I had a right to do something about it. I want others to know they have more power to win justice in their own lives than they ever realize they have. That they can go up against great odds and be successful. I want women to know they are not powerless.

SM: Can you ever imagine doing anything else other than what you’re doing now?
Gloria Allred: No. [Laughs] This is what I love to do, this is what I intend to do for the rest of my life. As I say in my book, as long as God gives me the gift of life, I will be doing this. I am driven, I have a passion for justice, and I will continue to do this for the rest of my life… some people think from the great beyond as well. [Laughs]
