When I realized every one of my girlfriends uses the same Kate Spade stationary, my cards didn’t seem so personal anymore. I found a couple of websites that let you either customize their site’s existing stationary or work with their designers to create completely unique notes. My favorites were v : space studio, whose cards have an antique, glam style, and Paper + Cup, which has more of a mod look. If you choose the complete customization option, v : space studio co-creator Karen Viray suggests that you incorporate your personal style, event theme, inspiring thoughts or even your favorite purse. I plan to design my stationary based on my bedspread pattern, so, really, you can do anything.

With these signature sites there’s no way you’ll show up for dinner with the same clutch as your best friend. But if she still finds a way to copy your customized creation then perhaps you might look into finding a new friend. Because that’s just creepy.
