Share Goals with Friends.
Invite your close friends over for an intimate dinner. Use the time to talk with them about what you want to accomplish over the year. Telling your goals to other people will hold you accountable and make it much harder to back out.

Take The High Road.
The past is the past for a reason. Start the year off by forgiving someone in your life. Most likely he or she means more to you than the argument ever did, so start fresh and go out of the way to be the bigger person.

Have a Drink.
Take time out for a drink, bubble bath or even a cup of tea – whatever you need to relax. If you go into the New Year with a calm spirit, you’ll be more inspired to actually do what you want to do.

Indulge Without Guilt.
If you’re craving a cupcake, go for it! It’s OK to indulge once in a while, whether it’s a dessert or a trip to the spa, which will help keep you happy and feeling alive. Depriving yourself of little indulgences is no way to start the New Year.
