Women on the Rise is an organization located in Cambridge dedicated to empowering the next generation of females. It aims to strengthen mutual connections between women in their 20s and 30s with more experienced women in their career field to inspire them in becoming future leaders of tomorrow. Currently WOTR are looking for volunteers in Web development/Computer programming, Event planning, Communications, Development/Fundraising, Database management, Recruitment/Outreach, and Photography/Writing/graphic design. Help change a young girl’s life and become a group leader at GEMS, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help young women, ages 12-21, who have been affected by abuse and commercial sexual exploitation reach their full potential. Currently they need smart, sophisticated and creative women to become active leaders in their 16-week group program that is committed to the personal and professional development in these women.
