Softlips has just started a charitable campaign-Softlips Care with a Kiss!  Their mission is to help bring smiles to young faces worldwide, one kiss at a time.  You can click on www.softlips.com  and send a free Softlips e-kiss (using special e-cards complete with fun kissing sounds) to someone special to brighten their day: in return, Softlips will help bring smiles to children in developing countries who need cleft lip and palate repair by donating $10,000 to the non-profit organization, The Smile Train.

Volunteers are assigned an at-risk student chosen by the school and meet with that student a minimum of 1/hr. per week during the school year. Children who are "at-risk" are defined as those who are reading at least two grade levels below their peers (ie: a 3rd grade student reading at a 1st grade level). Many of our volunteers work with their student during the academic day; however, we also have formed a partnership with the LAUSD after school programs in order to accommodate the schedules of additional volunteers. Our schools are located all over the city and the valley, from Venice to downtown, from North Hollywood to Canoga Park. You choose a school that is located close to your home or work. We are dedicated to delivering services directly at the school sites through coordinated efforts among our schools and volunteers.  For more information go to: dosomething.org
