FOOT MASSAGE

  1. Cover the foot with oil using light gliding strokes.
  2. Use your fingertips to trace gentle circles around the anklebone and between the bones of the foot, working from between the toes toward the ankle.
  3. Apply the same spreading movement you used on the hand, working from the center of the foot out to the side.
  4. Rub each toe between your thumb and index finger. Apply thumb circles and gentle knuckling to the sole of the foot.
  5. Stroke the foot to end the massage, being careful not to tickle.

When working with the feet, make an extra effort to keep both hands on the foot you are massaging at all times. This enhances the quality of the touch and the sense of connection that are so essential to a truly fantastic massage.

BE CAREFUL

Pressure should be firm but never cause pain. Be sure to ask your friend if they are comfortable with the amount of pressure you are applying to their hands and feet. This will help avoid any unexpected injury.
