Use, Don't Lose, Your Vacation Time
While doing research for my book, Nice Girls Don't Get Rich: 75 Avoidable Mistakes Women Make with Money
- The average American leaves 1.8 days per year of his or her vacation time unused, which means we’re collectively giving back to our employers $19.3 billion and 415 million unused days annually;
- Executives expected to take 50% fewer vacation days in 2003 than they did the previous year;
- Americans are taking 10% less vacation time this year than they did last year;
- Nearly 50% of full-time workers say they are too busy to take vacations;
- Approximately 40% of those surveyed said they canceled or postponed vacation plans because of work.

| This picture seems to be from a place in the Caribbean. The last time visited the caribbean I spent amazing moments at charlisangels sex vacations with several hot eastern European and Russian escorts. Every time I see anything that resembles the caribbean I wish I can go back there rigth now. | |

Lois is right on the money. Not only are vacations important for good health. Taking time off is actually a well-kept secret to higher earnings. I learned that lesson from the incredibly successful women I interviewed for my books, Secrets of Six-Figure Women and Overcoming Underearning. These women actually worked fewer hours, took frequent trips, and still accomplished far more than the masses. Those interviews taught me that breaks away from work always go hand in hand with increased productivity, creativity, and profit. | i like #3, but i don't agree so much with #2. when i think of vacation, i think about going away for about a week and forgetting about the job altogether for those 7 days. 3 days is only a taste of vacation, i think. | |

| I get caught up in the 9-5 grind as well. I almost don't want to leave for vacation because I feel I have so much work left to do and I start to worry about it. I know this is bad though, and it's great advice that we need more short, frequent vacations to relieve the stress. | |
