SM: What are a few of your favorite things about UCL?
Kohinoor: I like that the courses are demanding; if it were easy I would not
feel as satisfied with my progress. My favorite part of the course is the one-on-one tutorials— your hard work pays off [and] you feel like you have achieved something.
SM: What are a few of your not-so-favorite things?
Kohinoor: The cost of living!
SM: London is a huge city with lots going on, so surely there must be heaps of fun things to do at UCL.
Kohinoor: I come from a small town, so to move to Central London has been exciting. Absolutely everything is on your doorstep! There are tons of extracurricular activities; it’s just a matter of trying to fit all you desire into the time you have. There are 140 [university] societies ranging from debating to dance, juggling to religious groups. If you can’t find the society you are after, the [Student] Union will help you create it.
