SM: Is it easy to make friends?
Kohinoor: You’ll be making friends all the time: in your halls of residence, societies, lectures and parties. The truth is that you will make so many friends that you may need to worry more about maintaining them.
SM: What are fashions like?
Kohinoor: Everyone wears what they like. You don't have to worry about dressing to impress. Whether you’re goth or just roll out of bed for your morning lecture, no one will bat an eyelid!
SM: How do you find the London night life? Are UCL students often out on the town?
Kohinoor: London nightlife can be expensive, so you should make sure you carry your student ID to get the best deals. UCL societies and the halls of residences also often organize their own events after dark too, which vary from being free to very cheap.
SM: Even though it is in the middle of a huge city, do you think UCL is fairly safe?
Kohinoor: I actually feel safer walking home in a huge city than, say, a desolate village. In London you are bound to find places open, other people around and transport links operating well into the night.
