Special Dinner Menu

Garlic bread. Use a crusty white bread (such as ciabatta). Have the garlic bread already done by the time he comes over so that the intoxicating smell of butter and garlic is filling your home and beginning to spark his appetite for the evening to come.

 

Simple mixed green salad. This evening is about making him feel honored. If he tells you that, for example, Thousand Island dressing is his favorite and you hate it, make two simple salads. While grocery shopping, look for salads already in a bag with everything you need inside. A beautiful salad with these filets would have gorgonzola, candied pecans and balsamic dressing.
