Don’t despair; your favorite pair of khakis isn’t ruined! Just rub liquid laundry detergent into the stain with a brush as soon as possible. Or toss the garment into an oxygen-based stain remover and soak before you wash it. Of course, if the fabric’s not machine washable, get thee to a dry-cleaner ASAP! Another tip our editor swears by is spraying hairspray onto the stain. Let it dry. Brush off the stain and launder as soon as possible.
