Sure, you can meet guys at bars and nightclubs, but often the noise levels keep you from learning that Mr. Cutie Pie is dumb as a box of rocks. Still, there are plenty of places to find a decent guy—if you know where to look and how to look.

Churches
Here’s a dirty little secret: In recent years, churches have become Sunday morning singles bars—without the stigma.

Will Monahan, a real estate agent in Santee, Calif., says many of the guys who attend have sincere religious beliefs, and a sincere desire to hook up with women.

“I’ve had some of my best luck meeting women at church, especially congregations that are evangelical in nature. It seems the women who attend are willing to do anything to help bring a ‘lost lamb back to the flock’—and I don’t mind being that lost lamb.”

Irish Bars and Sports Bars
Bars and nightclubs are common places to meet members of the opposite sex but some are more effective than others.

Mason Rodgers, a chef in Boise, Idaho, swears by Irish bars because “anyone that goes to one probably likes to talk, and breaking the ice is the hardest thing about meeting someone.” Rodgers also suggests women go to sports bars.

Hair Salons    
Chet Rowland, a Tampa-based pickup artist who instructs his fellow men on the fine arts of meeting women, says hair salons also are wonderful places for girls to meet guys.
“The women there are usually single and think outside the box,” Rowland says.

Rowland himself says when he’s at a salon, he tells the stylist he’s single and she either lets him know she’s interested or offers to set him up with a friend. And it goes both ways. If a woman likes a guy who’s there, the stylist can let her know what team he’s playing for or if he is already attached.
