I admit it, you messed up. Sorry to be so harsh, but if I don't tell you, who will?

But not to fear, there is something you can do to try to redeem yourself and make him want you again. It's not a foolproof plan, but it's the best thing you've got right now, considering my first inclination was: "Oh my gosh, this girl blew it and will never get him back!" See, suddenly "you messed up" doesn't sound that bad, does it?

Three words. Ignore, ignore, ignore. He said he needs time apart? Well, that's exactly what you're gonna give him: Time apart. No calls, no contact, no texts. (Shall I reiterate no texts? Nah, I think you've learned your lesson on that one.) Instead, you must act like a cloud of smoke and poof, disappear into the night or onto your best friend's couch to bitch about what you did. But seriously, no more then a few bitchfests, please. It's not like you stabbed the guy in the knee cap and he got a restraining order on you. It's really not the end of the world, so don't beat yourself up too much over it, okay? So, now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about how you're gonna get him back.

I like to call this my “Three Week All-About-Me Plan.” For the next few weeks, you need to lay low on the social circuit. Avoid any and all places you may run into this guy. Instead, spend the next three weeks perfecting yourself.

Week One: Book a facial, get a body scrub, get a hot hair style and throw some highlights in your hair. Get on a Zone-type diet and commit to cutting dessert and bad sugar out of your life for the next 20 days.

Week Two: Do a thorough spring-cleaning of your pad (even if it's August). Get rid of junk in your drawers and donate those baggy jeans that will never make a comeback to charity. Clean out all the old boxes of green tea and stuff you will never eat from your kitchen cupboards, and throw out all the old hair products, makeup and body lotions you will never use. Getting rid of the clutter in your home will help alleviate the clutter in your head and make you think clearer. (I did this about a year ago, and it works like a charm.)
