I believe that there are no mistakes—we are where we’re supposed to be. If this guy lives alone, you have found out some information that he might not have told you off the bat. You can have sex with a guy that has herpes; you need a condom to make it safe. But you should really be asking yourself, “How do I feel about this guy?” Is there a love connection? Could he be your What-If guy? What if he didn't have herpes, would I still want to date him? Be with him? Could he be the one? If the answer is yes to any of the above, be honest with him. Tell him what you found, talk it over and make a trip to the drug store.
