Professional athletes practice. In fact, they often scrimmage before a big game to work out any noticeable kinks. In my opinion, dating and sports share many of the same characteristics. And no, I’m not just referring to the tackling and butting heads (wink, wink).
If you look at it from that perspective, your approach to dating is spot-on. Why settle for the first person you’re interested in when there are other recruits to be seen? Marriage seems to have turned into a game, as evidenced by the stat that two thirds of all marriages end in divorce. So, with that in mind, why not continue “practicing” until you find the person who complements you best?
It’s a good strategy, and if you find that guys are questioning your indecisiveness or wondering where they stand in your lineup, invite them out for a beer and explain your game plan over Monday Night Football. Trust me…they’ll get it!
