I guess I don't have the good answers that can help. But something that has consoled me when I've been dissed is a quote from the poet Mark Strand: "We all have reasons / for moving. / I move / to keep things whole." When I'm the strongest, healthiest, most passionate and most independent person I can be, I'm never discouraged for long after a fruitless game of cat and mouse because I'm still, and always will be, whole with or without another person to witness me. It's their loss!

Whoa, I think I turned into Oprah for a minute there. Ummm. go Pistons!
