Melissa Lafsky is the editor of the Freakonomics blog on theNew York Times website. A former lawyer, she inadvertently started a writing career when she founded the blog Opinionistas, which became internationally popular for its skewering of the Manhattan corporate world. An associate editor atThe Huffington Post and contributor to publications including theNew York Post, Wired, Salon and Radar, Lafsky’s work also appeared in The Best Creative Nonfiction Vol. 1, released this summer by W.W. Norton. She lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and cat, both of whom play prominent roles on her blog -- the cat minds less.
