6. Fulfill a fantasy.
Don't worry—your fantasy doesn't have to involve sexy strangers and a hot tub. But if you've got a secret desire lurking beneath your good-girl exterior, give yourself permission to explore it while you're single. After all, the best way to enjoy that hot tub experience is as the guest star and NOT as one half of a couple trying to spice up a lackluster love life.

7. Volunteer.
Find a cause near and dear to your heart. Why? For one it feels good to give back and two, it will squelch any lingering feelings of self-pity. Haven’t we already established that being single is nothing to be depressed about?

8. Conquer a fear.
Nothing gets you out of your comfort zone quite like conquering a fear. Whether it's public speaking, taking an improv class, going topless on that European beach, or even just sucking it up and asking your boss for that well-deserved raise, conquering a fear gives you limitless confidence, which will inevitably spill over into other aspects of your life—and may give you the courage to take risks in love as well.
