Unless she feels really strongly about it, she should take her husband’s last name. I, personally, would have no problem with my wife keeping her last name, but I do appreciate the tradition of sharing the same last name as one's spouse.

To me it seems that the importance of name continuation over generations has died away. I guess it’s convenient—so we don't wind up with kids whose last names consist of a bunch of hyphens. But in the end, I think when you get married you should just pick whoever has the coolest last name between the two.
