We live in a time when life is managed by the millisecond and spontaneity is replaced by scheduling a “hook-up” on a Blackberry™. In order to resuscitate a malnourished sex life, a shift in priorities is called for. But how? The answer to spicing up a lackluster love life is as simple as inviting a porn star, a nurse or a CEO into your bedroom for some fun, great sex and a whole lot of O’s.

Role Play 101

1. Make a list of your three favorite female personas. For example, a sexy persona could be a porn star, stripper or French maid. Powerful: a dominatrix, CEO, or policewoman. And sweet: a teacher, nurse, librarian, or cheerleader.

2. After you pick your top three female personas, write down the attributes that you find intriguing about them. For example, a porn star might be uninhibited, wild and passionate. A CEO: strong, articulate and confident. And a nurse: loving, nurturing and attentive.

3. Look closely at the characteristics of the types of personas you picked. Create your very own character that may be just one persona or a mix of two or three, say, CEO by day and stripper by night.

4. Create a name, age and even an accent for your character. Embody her completely.

5. Figure out what your character would wear. Step outside of your comfort zone. Remember, even though “you” may feel uncomfortable wearing certain lingerie or high heels, your alter ego would not!

6. Get your man involved by letting him create a character all his own. He can be the traveling salesman in town for a conference, the college frat boy with a lust for cheerleaders or the doctor making the ‘rounds’. It’s ideal if your characters somehow fit together but it also makes for interesting sex play when your characters are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
