Watching porn is so normal for guys that they will even share their favorite DVDs and videos with their buddies. It’s as natural as letting someone borrow a power tool or lawn mower.

“Normal, psychologically healthy men share porn,” says Rob, 31. “It’s a way of showing off your good taste, like when a woman shares clothes.”

Sometimes, sharing porn is a way for men to look out for each other. Sean knew this guy whose wife was pregnant. “The wife was having mood swings. He was getting yelled at for things that weren’t his fault,” says Sean. A friend felt so sorry for this poor guy that he loaned him about a dozen skin flicks. “It was sympathy porn.”

In all honesty, though, I should point out that porn isn’t always an innocent habit. There are some guys who, quite frankly, get crazy with porn. They watch too dang much of it.

“Porn is just like any mood-altering substance,” Rob says. “When used in moderation, it works fine for its intended purpose. But just like with all mood-altering substances, there are those who abuse the product and give it a bad name.”
