The Sex Lives of International Women Revealed

You don't need a passport to have world-class sex. All you need is a little cross-cultural know-how. From the wine country in Italy to the scenic shores of Australia, these international women prove that there is more than one way to approach sexuality.

Getting down, down under.
If you think America is obsessed with hooking up, take a look at the Outback. Durex Condom's 2005 Global Sex Survey reports that the Australians have, on average, the second most sexual partners of any ethnicity on the planet (13.3 over the course of a lifetime). Americans had an average of 10.7 partners—1.7 more than the international average—while Turks came in first with an average of 14.5 sexual partners over a lifetime.

Terri, a 27-year-old Aussie, says that the reason behind the stats is that her country is just more open to sex and experimentation. “A radio station has a contest right now where a person contacts their partner and asks them for a threesome on air,” she says. “That’s really what the mentality is, that anything goes in Australia.”
