This is a very light, refreshing smoothie. It also makes a delicious sorbet.
Nutrisip: Green tea has been shown in studies to have cancer-preventative properties. In Japan there is strong supporting evidence that regular green-tea drinkers have dramatically lower rates of stomach cancer.
6 green tea ice cubes
1 medium pear, washed, stem removed, and cut into chunks
1 cup white grape juice (2 cups green grapes, juiced)
Steep one bag of green tea in a cup of hot water for about 20 minutes, or until the tea is strong and flavorful. Pour it into six ice cube tray squares and freeze. Pour the grape juice into a blender and add the pear and green tea ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and serve immediately.
