Do like the Spanish and take a siesta! Did you know that taking a 20-30 minute nap between the hours of 2-4 pm daily can improve your productivity at work by keeping you alert and energized? Studies show that "When adults napped between 2 and 4 p.m., they performed better on tests and had no problems falling asleep at night" writes Liesa Goins in her "Getting Your Nap On" article. The key to a successful nap, however, is short and early. Late and long naps could take away from your nighttime sleep and cause you to wake up tired and groggy. Another tip for a successful nap, says Groins, is to stay away from the bed because the bed is associated with nighttime sleep. Instead, doze off on a couch or on a carpeted floor allowing you to wake up more refreshed when the alarm hits.

So next time you feel like you're about to fall asleep at the office, take a 20 min nap during your lunch break. Good Luck and Good Nappin!

If you feel emotionally drained, whether it be due to work, school, or a relationship, here are some tips for your swift recovery. By following these fun and simple techniques, you can reduce stress and manage negative emotions that cause emotional instability.

* Collect Friends
Try taking a more active role in your life. Sign up for a class where there's a lot of social interaction. This will help you build friendships, discuss common interests, and take your mind off of stress related issues.

* Enjoy Solitude
If you need a little time alone because everyone needs a little ME-Time sometimes, then feel free to do so. In order to collect your own thoughts and find the balance and tranquility within yourself. Meditation is a great way to find your inner balance.

* Get Fit
You don't need to be buff or cut in order to be fit. All you need is to get your body moving. Sitting around on the couch or in the office all day can become depressing. Bodies need to be in action, that's what they're for. So go out for a walk or a hike. Go swimming or even to the gym This will help you feel healthier and more and more in control of your own body. This also includes eating right, sleeping well, and relaxing enough so that you can reach a balance, physically and emotionally.

* Find a Passion
Finding something you're passionate for, can give you a meaning and a purpose. It can also take your mind off your troubles and concerns. It will provide some excitement and interest to your life. Go take an art class or even a dance class. How about some salsa? It will not hurt you, I promise. It will however, cover the passion and fitness criteria on this list. Killing two birds with one stone!

* Write it down
Finally, one of the most important ways of figuring out what bugs you is by writing it down. Write down your emotions, make a list of how you would like to solve these problems. Make a to-do list for yourself and take one step at a time towards your goals. Identifying your negative thoughts,is one step towards fixing them. If you know what it is that is bothering you, then you will be able to fix it better and faster.

Bored at work? Wishing you were ANYWHERE else but there? Unfortunately many people feel that way, it's part of life. Even for those who enjoy what they do, work can get a little mundane sometimes. You know what we all need? A little more laughter in the work place! A happy work environment results in happy employees and a successful, prospering business.

In an April edition of Fast Company's online magazine, Michelle Loyalka quotes business tycoon, John Heffron, who says the "sterile all-work-and-no-play corporate environments simply drive people to other diversions-be it daydreaming, surfing the Web or playing Solitaire." Does this sound familiar to you? You probably need a little pick me up then, here's Heffron's advice:

"By bringing laughter into the office, a business owner can at least have some control over when and how the entertainment happens."

Funky, Funky, Funky. I just can't say it enough! Lindsay Lohan is plain Funky! It seems to me that she is heading down the same road Britney Spears came down. Is Lohan following in her footsteps? Or are all celebrity females going crazy? Barely 21 and already screwing up her life. Don't these women have parents? I don't see what the problem is with these girls...money, boredom, fame? How hard can those be to manage?

Lohan needs a wake up call, perhaps this rehab experience will help.

On that note, Paris Hilton going to jail, Funky or Fabulous?
Will it be a wake up call for her or was the sentence too harsh? Did Paris really deserve to go to jail?

What do you think? Let us know!

Maybe Reno, Nevada is the epicenter of FABULOUS!

Many thanks Emily Bails and Karen Reuter of KRNV.

The segments were so strong that women got in their cars to come and meet me. What an honor to meet women that had seen me on TV and give them more 'Turnaround Techniques'

Karen and Emily were so warm and gracious. Even though they are busy newscasters’, they took the time to make me feel so welcomed.

Plus, they have superb taste! The local Barnes and Noble says that they bought Funky to Fabulous as a gift for recent event to help women to become more aware of the health of their hearts.
