Subject: Media and the Perception of Beauty
I was helping a friend out with a paper she's writing for one of her media classes, and she's writing about the influence of media in terms of beauty. Anyway, we were trying to think of shows and/or movies that involve female characters getting "make-overs" without the use of plastic surgery..I guess more of an esteem-boost sort of thing. Anyone care to give some ideas?

They give makeovers on America's Next Top Model, The Biggest Loser hmmmm that's all I can think of right now. I'll let you know if I can think of any more. Hope this helps!

Ooooo normally I'd say no but I actually just saw a commercial for Carson Kressley's (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) new show "How to look good naked." It's about helping women feel better about their body and themselves overall. It looks cute and Carson is the best!!

Hmm I think A Walk to Remember, Jawbreaker, Miss Congeniality and oh yes you can't leave out Carson's new show "How to Look Good Naked." I see signs for this show everywhere I can't wait to see it.

For your paper what about The Princess Diaries?!!

Haha, I am so pumped about "How to Look Good Nake"… apparently there is a way to get my husband to watch Lifetime after all these years… just showcase naked women!
